Patrick Vieira appointed manager of Chelsea’s sister club

Patrick Vieira has been appointed as the coach of Chelsea’s new sister club, RC Strasbourg.

The Arsenal hero has experience in systems like this – he managed teams in the City Football Group and knows how this will all work.

Chelsea will sign him players and send him talents on loan – but they will also poach anyone who really stands out and take them to Stamford Bridge.

Still, it’s good gig for Vieira at a stable club that should go up a gear or two with some investment from the mothership. He’s got a good record developing young players and will now be charged with some of the best and brightest from our academy, as well as our increasing swarm of teenage talents signed for big fees from all around the world.

Let’s hope he does a good job with them and teaches them well. In terms of experience, there aren’t many better to learn from than the World Cup winner.
