Inter Milan posted Samir Handanovic to Belgium yesterday.

The former Inter captain was making a scouting check on OH-Leuven goalkeeper Tobe Leysen.

Leysen featured in defeat to Standard Liege and was alerted to Handanovic's presence post-match.

He told Gianlucadimarzio.com: "Did Handanovic really come to see me? It's nice. Samir was a great goalkeeper with 'Italian' characteristics and incredible reflexes. He is a goalkeeper who I often watched play in the Champions League. But I am still in the first games of my career and my focus at the moment is survival.

"For OH Leuven to stay in Jupiler Pro League would be a very important goal. Then it's normal that if you do well, some teams will be interested in you but I'll only think about it at the end of the season and not now.

"Having said that, Inter is truly a great club. I'm a guy who doesn't like to dream , I prefer to work hard and work hard to improve. And I admit that I never imagined myself in a big club like Inter. It would be an honor if the Nerazzurri called me at the end of the season..."
