Mo Salah Misses Another Penalty While Playing For Egypt But Tanzania Keeper Scores Own Goal

Mo Salah failed to convert a penalty kick for the second time in a week when he struck the crossbar from 12 yards in Egypt's 2-0 win over Tanzania on Sunday.

Salah had taken two penalties in Liverpool's 4-2 victory over Newcastle six days earlier.

His first was saved by Newcastle keeper Martin Dubravka before he scored from the second.

As well as being Liverpool's chief penalty-taker, Salah is also Egypt's spot-kick specialist.

However, he missed the target in Sunday's friendly in the 73rd minute after Omar Marmoush had been fouled.

Salah aimed for the top right corner but hit his shot a little too high and it bounced back off the underside of the crossbar.

Tanzania keeper Aishi Manula had dived the right way but this ultimately worked against him as Salah's shot bounced off the crossbar onto his buttocks before landing in the net. Manula was credited with an own goal.
