NHL Friday bets: Four plus-money props

We've been having a really nice stretch of days here on Yardbarker with our identified props, now 10-3 since Tuesday.

We start a new day with the first four props that stick out, all Shots on Goal (SOG) bets that also happen to be at plus-money.

We're value hunting, let's get to the spots.

Victor Olofsson over 2.5 SOG (+125 DK)

Victor Olofsson has covered his SOG in six of his last nine games, so I love to see these odds at +125.

Nashville is a great target for shots, allowing 33.1 per game on the road in their last 10, and 35 per game in their last five.

Olofsson has been steadier at home, hitting his SOG in three of four, and he's been very involved in the offense lately, averaging 6.6 attempts per game in his past five home games.

Contrast that with other options in Alex Tuch (5.0 attempts per game) and Tage Thompson (6.2 attempts per game), and I see a guy operating at a high volume.

Roman Josi over 3.5 SOG (+115 DK)

We stay in this game and head to the Predators side, considering Buffalo has allowed 32 shots per game at home in their past 10 games.

Roman Josi stands out, considering he has covered his SOG in seven of his last nine away games.

He isn't just scraping by this number, either. He's averaging 4.6 SOG in his past five on the road, and his attempts are sky-high, averaging 8.2 in the same span.

Buffalo is a viable target for defensemen. As a team, they're blocking the second fewest shots per game, a good sign for defensemen involvement, and they're an above-average team at shots allowed to the position.

Josi had six SOG when these teams last met.

Jacob Trouba over 2.5 SOG (+125 DK)

Trouba has been one of my favorites all week, and he once again finds himself in an advantageous spot.

I had to tweet him out already because I was so excited to see that they are continuing to give us him at plus-odds. I explained the pick below.

Josh Norris over 2.5 SOG (+100 DK)

We'll wrap with Josh Norris at even money, who gets himself a tremendous target in the Detroit Red Wings.

Detroit has been getting pummeled with shots for some time now. At home, they're allowing 35.2 shots per game in their last ten.

Norris stands out, having hit his SOG in two straight games.

The context I find important here is the return of top-line RW Drake Batherson.

Batherson, Norris and Brady Tkachuk have now played two games together since Batherson returned, and when comparing and contrasting both hit-rates and shot attempts, Norris is reigning supreme.

Norris has hit his SOG in both games and has 14 total attempts. Batherson and Tkachuk have both covered their prop once, totally an equal 10 attempts each.

It's a small sample size, but I find it intriguing to see that Norris is leading in attempts with this configuration, and considering such a favorable opponent, the pick feels right.

Detroit allows the fifth-most shots per game to centers since the All Star break.

Best of luck Friday night! Let's keep cashing some NHL bets.
